Behind our nursery inspiration

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share one of my design boards for our nursery with all of you that I have schemed up so far:) As you can probably imagine this is SO fun for me to dive into and because we don’t know the gender it is even more fun to mix in different ideas and inspiration throughout. I have two of these design boards that I am working off of at the moment that have a similar look and feel but they both differ so hoping I can make a decision between both by next week. I will be sharing the other one on Monday.

When I dreamt of having a nursery in our home I always knew that I wanted it to be a space where I felt a sense of calmness and serenity when I entered the room. I know this sounds ironic for a newborn baby haha, BUT to be honest given the journey to get here I knew I wanted the whole look and feel to be and feel spa retreat like in a way.

For those of you that haven’t seen the walls in the nursery yet they are board and batten. For more inspiration on ALL of the different ways in which you can do this in your home I highly recommend checking out Pinterest. Here is a picture of where we are right now in the progress of installing and painting this. So far we have primed and painted over the pine wood and now all we have to do is paint the walls with the Chanitlly Lace by Benjamin Moore. Another special piece in the nursery that I want to make sure we update is the hardware and paint color on is Sofia’s baby changing table that she had growing up.

I will be ordering our crib, the rug, and the recliner/glider combo. I MEAN how genius is that two in one situation for the recliner and glider. Special shout out to my mom friends who recommended the recliner option to me-GENIUS. For the crib I am leaning toward a white washed wood tone like the one below which I think will look awesome against the white paint color going in the room.
