Happy Friday!
If you have been following me along on instastories you know that I have been taking you along with us as we pick out the different elements and accessories we will be including in our new kitchen layout as well as our house. I am drooling over the fact that we are getting a navy blue island. I think it is going to be quite the show stopper! The great thing about islands that are created for kitchens now is that they end up looking more like a furniture piece than a regular kitchen island. I think of them as an accent piece for your space. Here are some of the inspirational images that I used when creating our new kitchen layout:

Our island is going to shaped similar to something to this picture below but the circular part is going to be larger and wider. We have some dead space by the slider going on to our deck that you could place a breakfast nook table, but we wanted to just extend our island and utilize this space as much we could with stools and not have another table.
We are going to be doing quartz counter tops for our kitchen space and our bathrooms as well. The great thing about the fact that we are making our island a lot larger in this home is that the storage for pots and pans will be endless. You never can have enough storage! All of the hardware in the kitchen is going to look similar to the pictures shown below. I have never done bronze hardware ever before and to be honest I never thought I would, but something about it really pops in a space and it is hard to resist. Here are some images that I swooned over:
I think either aged brass or gold really pop and it will be hard to make the final selection! Now on to the kitchen accessories that I can’t live without:)
Last weekend we stopped into Williams Sonoma which always has the best selection for baking, cooking, and hosting! I picked up the below wooden utensils and new additions for our wet bar and it got me thinking about how amazing their selection really is for everything! The wooden utensils were so reasonable and lately that is allll I cook with. Below are some of the ones I picked up that I LOVE.
Also, how cool is this wooden muddler?
Andy also loves to drink liquor so I got him these cool stainless steel icecube spheres that you put in your whiskey.
I know we all probably have so many utensils already, but I noticed a lot of the ones I had already weren’t exactly the ones I needed so I cleaned them out and went out to get utensils that were actually necessary for the way we cook in our home:)
Tomorrow we are going to the new house to meet with the builder so I will be sure to take some photos to share with you all on the progress!
xx

Hi there, Great tips by the way and thank you. I did have a question though. I’m hoping you can answer it for me since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about Kitchen. In a Kitchen, how can you use unwanted places without hurting other accessories?
