I wanted to share some ways that I LOVEEEE to add character and life into any space in our home. Here they are! All of the below items are very easy to incorporate into your home and they are not too costly. For example if you are looking to add overhead sconce lighting to your home you do not have to hire an electrician to do so. Many are battery operated now and can also be plugged in instead of being hardwired. I have also included links to everything below that I think you may like and can easily incorporate into your home:) Enjoy!
Mirrors: I love adding different types of mirrors around our home. Mirrors are very beneficial in a space because they reflect a lot of beautiful light, make any room feel larger, brighter and more open. Additionally, they reflect light and add some warmth to your home.
Cutting Boards: Gosh my heart explodes with excitement when I add cutting boards to our kitchen or bathroom spaces in our home. They elevate any countertop space with the warm wood tones they all have as well as the warmth and practicality they offer. You can use them to place your frequently used cooking items as well as hand soaps in a bathroom.
Lighting: The great thing about using lighting in your home is that you do not necessarily have to have lighting hardwired in order for it to be incorporated into your home. The lighting that we have on our bookshelves are not hardwired so it is something you can look into.
Gallery Walls: These allow you to curate a collection of meaningful pieces in one area of your home. The photos can range from family photos, travel mementos, or artwork that speaks to you. This then will continue to create a space that reflects your personality and tells a story.
Plants: Bringing the outdoors in is never a bad idea when adding either real or faux plants to your home. I love the way real greens from plants add such a visually esthetic enhancement to your space. If you don’t want real plants faux plant are also a great alternative.
Window Treatments: Pulling together window treatments on your window really enhances the look and feel and it is very easy to do so without breaking the bank. I personally love bamboo shades paired with a sheer or linen curtain. Bamboo shades are a good choice for window coverings due to their natural beauty and durability.
