Last week as I was strolling with Rory around one of my favorite stores. Wink wink guess which one hahah Target of course! I saw so many things that I COULD not share with you all. The hearth and hand line with magnolia stopped me in my tracks. The whole entire section specifically. I swear every season it just gets better & better. The buyers are genius aka Chip & Jo. Festive bedding that I love for the holidays

Making your own bedroom feel festive for Christmas as an adult is so fun-where have I been? I had so much fun doing this this year and this will absolutely be something I make sure to do year after year. Here are some of my favorite ways to elevate bedding in any bedroom. Adding a down comforter creates such a fluffy, comfortable look that elevates the bed right away. Another thing I like to do is add a lumbar pillow to tie everything together.

Here are some of the staples I like to have in our bedroom and what everything looked like pulled together.

Decorating kids rooms is my absolute favorite thing to do and whenever Christmas rolls around I love to make it memorable. I think it is a combination of tapping into their interests and leaning into the whimsical magic of an upcoming holiday that makes it all so special. The bonus of decorating a child’s room with them is that they absolutely love being apart of the fun:) I have collected a few things over the years for my son’s room & I wanted to share with all of you some of my favorite finds. I love adding twinkle lights this time of year above his bed and then pairing a winter quilt that can last through the holidays.

Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas

Thanksgiving is such a fun holiday to spend with your favorite people and what better than pair it with something YUM to eat.

If you are hosting for Thanksgiving here are a few things that I like to add to our Thanksgiving table that are simple as well as budget friendly. A tablecloth, some real or faux pumpkins do go a long way as well as some other simple yet classic touches that really pull together a place setting.

Some of my favorite ways to elevate your dining room for Thanksgiving are to get some sort of centerpiece that you love for this time of year like a candle centerpiece or something that represent Thanksgiving to you. Remember real or faux wheat grass, pumpkins, gourds are all great ways to elevate your table.

As always have fun with it and honestly take the pressure off by using some of the items I have below for inspiration:)

Coffee Table Favorites

Before I had little boys running around I always made sure to keep our coffee table in the living room styled with my favorite essentials. The great thing about styling a coffee table is that you really don’t have to go crazy with how to decorate it. Here are some of my favorites to use when styling. Some of my favorite interior design books, some greenery, a candle, and a cool object such as a bowl or vase.Happy styling and don’t worry it will look amazing:)

Kitchen counter lamps that I love

I have never loved having bright overhead lights on in the different rooms throughout our house. I have always opted for lamps and smaller lights to turn on and off throughout our home instead and I wanted to share some with you! Something about walking into your kitchen at night with a warm glow coming from the countertop lamp is so nice. Recently, I have added lights to our kitchen counter and I cannot get enough of them. They add so much nice character and charm.

These lights come either rechargeable or you can plug them into an outlet there really are so many options. I have rounded up some of my favorites for you to reference below.

An easy Easterscape table for you

Easter is one of those holidays that we are rarely at our house to host. We are usually at another family members house so I don’t often ever have to actually have a sit down Easter dinner. However I still think it is such a fun holiday to decorate for because you can incorporate fun, cheerful pastel colors into your whole color scheme. I also feel like it is such a great holiday to get creative with. From decorating eggs, to having different bunnies throughout, to the fun centerpieces you can choose the possibilities feel endless.

DECORATING for any holiday though does not have to be stressful or overwhelming so I have come up with a few ways below to really enhance your Easter table without all the frills and expense:) Before I get into what I did to decorate this Easterscape table for you I want to break down some basics that you should have on hand when you host any sort of dinner party.

10 Tips for a successful dinner party:

Serving Dishes (any that you prefer this doesn’t mean you always have to have a fancy china set, any fishes you prefer will work)
Linen napkins
Napkin rings
Centerpiece (for this you can either use candles, candlesticks, or depending on the holiday you can curate one that goes with the holiday you are celebrating
Good music
Wine glasses
Drinkware
Place cards
Silverware
Serving dishes

Here are some photos of the two different Easterscape ideas that I came up with using what we had on hand. The only additional item that I purchased was the spring table cloth because I think adding a tablecloth to any table for a holiday really just pulls the whole setting together,

I love the way the Easterscape came out! The only thing that is not pictured is the drinkware but otherwise everything shown but the tablecloth we had. I felt like I needed something to really I absolutely love the handblock print of it and it absolutely inspired me to create our Easter themed table. The blue and white china is from Pottery barn years ago and we got this for our wedding. The carrots are from an Easter garland years ago that i just cut off so they could be individual carrots and I then set them on each place setting. The glass colored eggs that I put on each place setting are from the Target dollar section. These are a few examples of not having to spend to much to really bring your table together. I also feel like with specific holidays that you are decorating for less really is more.

The centerpiece shown in the pictures is something that I already had on our mantle in the living room and I just added the gold bunnies on top of it mixed in with faux moss. I think it turned out so fun but you could also just get a few beautiful bouquets of tulips or any flower of your choice and the centerpiece would look just as beautiful:)

Faux flowers are your best friend-seriously

I am here to tell you stop stressing about keeping flowers alive because it just isn’t worth it. Now if you have a green thumb go for it and don’t worry about purchasing faux flowers. I can keep flowers alive inside our home no problem but when it comes to our flower boxes and all of the different planters I have around our house it just isn’t feasible in this season of my life. Anyway I have been using fake flowers in every way possible around the outside of our home and I honestly I love it. Another thing to think about with faux flowers is that you will only have to buy them once and not year after year so to me you are saving money.

I feel like especially for us because we have quite a few flower boxes the only way to really keep them thriving and not die quickly is to install a drip system. Anyway here are some of the flowers I just put in our window boxes and I cannot get over HOW REAL they look again NO ONE has to know that they are fake, and what I loveee so much about the faux flowers is that they always look alive, beautiful, and healthy.
